Did you know The Farmland Trust has four large commercial food dehydrators with 10 stainless steel trays to rent to the community for dehydrating fruit and veg?
Minimum rental is $25 for one week, due on pick-up via e transfer or cash. After one week, it's $3 per day. Remaining rental fee is due on return. We just request that dehydrators come back clean. Great for tomatoes, apples, fruit leather, herbs, soup mixes, jerky, and meals and snacks for backpacking.
In the future, The Root will have an inventory of tools and equipment that farms, growers, seed savers, or community members can rent.
