Free Seeds #SowYourLove

We’re excited to announce a community seed giveaway, thanks to the generous support of Small Island Seed Co. and The Seed & Plant Sanctuary of Canada!

We’re offering free organic, cold-hardy, rare, and perennial seeds to the people of Salt Spring Island. These seeds are well-suited to our local climate and perfect for growing food, flowers, and biodiversity in your own garden.

Where to pick them up: The Root – 189 Beddis Road (You'll find them around the back of the building.)

Limit: Please take up to 10 seed packs per person, so that everyone in our community has a chance to grow something special.

To spread the joy, we invite you to share a photo of your favourite seedling on social media using the hashtag #SowYourLove. Your post might just inspire someone else to get their hands dirty!

Imagine how many people your seeds—and your story—could inspire. Imagine how many sprouts your sprout could help sprout. (Yes, digital seeds count too.)
