The Living Mandala brought garden space and community together at The Root, September 25th. Boy, was it a beautiful sunny September day when approximately 20 green thumb enthusiasts brought 35 soil-improving plants and designed and dug in to create a new living mandala at The Root. It was a great opportunity, the participants said, to be part of a holistic process, connect with the land, and other community members. Nick and Polly from Grow Local led the team. The event was hosted as part of Transition Salt Spring's month long festival to focus on climate grief and action.
