What's that Apple?

Sep 7
1 min read

Salt Spring is home to more than 400 varieties of apples—but do you know what’s growing in your own backyard?

As part of this year’s Salt Spring Apple Festival, What’s That Apple? offers islanders a hands-on introduction to the fascinating world of apple identification.

Experts from the BC Fruit Tree Association will guide participants through a wide assortment of local heritage apples. We’ll observe, compare, test and taste the fruit while learning about the characteristics that distinguish one variety from another.

Bring your mystery apple and put our experts to work! If you have extras, please bring some for the community to taste and share.

No passwords, verification codes or security questions are required. This is an Apple ID experience of the old-fashioned—and considerably tastier—kind.
